Just a short note to say thanks for all the hard work you administered during the USS Truckee reunion last week. You were awesome and you definitely need to be commended for a job well done! Speaking on behalf of the USS Truckee shipmates, THANKS!

Norfolk Tours

Enjoy a narrated riding tour of old and new Norfolk!  Visit Nauticus, The National Maritime Center, a unique and thriving campus of visitor attractions that explores the economic, naval, and natural powers of the sea.  Features here include a series of ingenious interactive exhibits, shows, and theaters with various films. Tour the Battleship Wisconsin and the Hampton Roads Naval Museum

Also see the MacArthur Memorial and view the outstanding collection of artifacts, documents, photographs and memorabilia housed in Norfolk's historic city hall which trace the life and times of five-star General Douglas MacArthur.

At the Chrysler Museum of Art view the encyclopedic collection of over 30,000 objects which span almost 5,000 years of the history of art.  The glass collection is one of the most outstanding in the country.

Drive by old St. Paul’s Church, built in 1739, it is the only link between modern Norfolk and the city’s colonial origins.  St. Paul’s is the lone survivor of the 1776 bombardment of Norfolk by the British, with a cannonball fired New Year’s Day 1776, that remains embedded in the outside wall of the church.

Enjoy an ice cream treat at Doumars, home of the world’s original ice cream cone-making machine.
